Rug Restoration, Cleaning, Valuation and Sales
Bart Blok has been
practising rug restoration since 1977, eventually setting up
his own business with his wife Kay in 1982. The small family
company is now based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. Bart’s
passion for the conservation of antique rugs led him to be a
founder member of the Rug Restorers Association.
With clients ranging from private individuals to more prominent
organisations such as The National Trust, York Minster and The
Bowes Museum, Bart is able to help with a wide range of restoration
projects whether the rug is historically important or important
to the owner!
His
guiding principles are the highest standards of workmanship, prompt
and efficient completion of work and sound and sensible advice
on what or how much to do, based on a thorough knowledge of his
field. Clients return again and again safe in the knowledge that
their family heirloom will be cared for and lovingly restored. |
